As one of Albuquerque’s top cultural events during the year, your tax-deductible contribution to the AFME Foundation supports high school and college students, the production of AFMX and year-round films, events and educational workshops.
Since our start in 2013 with Robert Redford, AFMX has attracted 200,000 attendees and produced over $12 million in economic growth. Sundance has created over $500 million in economic impact in five years for the state of Utah. Our goal is to achieve the same results for the City of Albuquerque and the State of New Mexico with you as our partner.

Every year, as the summer draws to its golden close, a remarkable transformation takes place in the charming neighborhood of Nob Hill. The Annual Albuquerque Film + Music Experience (AFMX) descends upon the district like a wave of creative energy, with hundreds of students, filmmakers, musicians, and art enthusiasts from all corners of the globe.
Last year, over 5500 people attended our festival and other AFMX-sponsored events within the Nob Hill area. From this, each attendee spent an average of $58 in value-added purchases: food, beverages, and shopping at local merchants. Out-of-state attendees spend over double the average.
