Film Block #5 - Documentary Shorts

Are you attending multiple events or more than one day? Get your festival passes here. This AFMX 2024 film block includes selections in the Documentary Shorts category. The following titles are included in this screening block:

• Return of the Grizzly -  Directed by Maaike Middleton - “Return of the Grizzly follows the path and challenges of the “explorer bear,” the pioneering young male grizzlies that come from small, isolated core populations. The grizzly bear needs to explore and pioneer new habitats to spread its gene pool. Narrated by Jeff Bridges the film gives the audience a simple way that they too can help these returning bears thrive by picking apples, electric fences and bear proof garbage cans."
• The Unknown Metal Box -  Directed by Maddie Stambler, Madison Cavalchire - “THE UNKNOWN METAL BOX is a stranger than fiction mystery following an artist’s mission to reunite a box of photo negatives he found in the 1980s at a thrift store in Albuquerque, New Mexico with its original owner. The film explores themes of documentation, memory, and loss."

ATTENTION FESTIVAL PASS HOLDERS: This event is first come, first serve for pass holder seating. You do not have to reserve or purchase a ticket to the event. Arrive at the event start time with your festival pass to gain entry. This includes daily pass holders (must have pass marked for that day's events).

SINGLE TICKET PURCHASES: These are available for entry to this block only. Ticket holders have a reserved number of seats and the theater will be open seating, no seat reservations are required.
