2025 POSTER DESIGN CONTEST ANNOUNCED
Calling all visual artists! Unleash your creativity! AFMX invites designers and artists to submit entries for our annual poster contest. Design the official 2025 AFMX poster and see your work showcased throughout Albuquerque and beyond!
The winning design will be used to promote the 13th Annual AFMX (September 24-28, 2025), and will be displayed throughout our festival marketing, online, and in various community spaces. Entries will be judged by a panel of experts through a blind review process to ensure an impartial selection.
The AFME Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that powers the Albuquerque Film + Music Experience (AFMX). Its mission is to create a dynamic fusion of film, music, and education where groundbreaking films, live performances, and career development panels unite to create an unforgettable cultural experience, sparking connections and inspiring creativity for generations.
The contest opens January 30, 2025; Submissions close at 11:59 p.m. on April 15, 2025.
First place and two runners-up will be notified and announced by May 1, 2025.

First place receives a cash prize of $1000 and two full-access passes

Second gets a cash prize of $500 and two full-access festival passes

Third receives a cash prize of $250 and two full-access festival passes
Festival passes to the 13th annual Albuquerque Film + Music Experience presented by the AFME Foundation are valued at $125 each pass. The festival will be held in Albuquerque, NM September 24-28, 2025.
