The AFME Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that powers the Albuquerque Film + Music Experience festival (AFMX). Its mission is to create a dynamic fusion of film, music, and education where groundbreaking films, live performances, and career development panels unite to create an unforgettable cultural experience, sparking connections and inspiring creativity for generations.

Now approaching its 13th year, AFMX is a five-day annual film and music festival that takes place during the last week of September. Our vision is to enhance cultural richness by integrating film + music programs that provide entertainment and education for the community, contribute to the creative and local economy, and support Albuquerque as an epicenter for film, music, and the arts.
 

In addition, the festival creates invaluable opportunities for middle, high, and college students, as well as career development opportunities for filmmakers and musicians that can result in transformative careers and projects in New Mexico.
