The AFME Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is the driving force behind the Albuquerque Film + Music Experience (AFMX). Our mission is to ignite a powerful fusion of film, music, and education. By bringing together groundbreaking cinema, live performances, and professional development, we create an unforgettable cultural experience that sparks lifelong connections and inspires future generations.

Now entering its 14th year, AFMX is a premier five-day festival held every September. We aim to enrich Albuquerque’s cultural landscape and strengthen the local economy by positioning our city as a global epicenter for the arts. Beyond the screen and stage, we are dedicated to the next generation, providing middle, high school, and college students—as well as emerging artists—with the tools and networking opportunities to launch transformative careers right here in New Mexico.
